THE FIELD (formerly O2art) is a contemporary art gallery based in Beijing, committed to the long-term representation and development of professional artists.
Founded in 2011 as a mobile and project-based initiative, the gallery established its permanent space in Beijing in 2018 and relocated to the 798 Art Zone in 2022. In June 2026, the gallery reintroduced itself under the name THE FIELD, marking a renewed articulation of its position and direction.
“The Field” refers to an open and generative space for artistic practice—one that supports creation, presentation, and conversation. Operating within the field of contemporary art, the gallery engages as a long-term observer and participant, working closely with artists whose practices are grounded in sustained researches. Through exhibitions, archives, and academic communication, THE FIELD supports the long-term development of artistic practices.
THE FIELD 旷野空间（前新氧艺 O2art）是一家长期代理并运营职业艺术家的当代艺术机构。机构始于2011年，最初以非固定空间的展览项目形式展开；2018年于北京设立实体空间，2022年迁至798艺术区。2026年6月，画廊以 THE FIELD 旷野空间 的全新品牌重新亮相，进一步明确其机构立场与发展方向。
“THE FIELD”意指一个开放的艺术场域——一个承载创作、展示与对话的空间。画廊以长期的观察者与参与者身份置身于当代艺术现场，在多元的艺术生态中发掘并陪伴具有研究意识的艺术家，通过持续的展览实践、文献梳理与学术交流，支持艺术家在其职业路径中的长期发展。
