TANG HUI  唐 晖


Tang Hui was born in Wuhan, China in 1968. He graduated from the Mural Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China in 1991. He stayed at the school to teach in the same year. In 1997, he was selected into the International Young Artist Visiting and Residence Program organized by the Japan International Exchange Foundation and Ibaraki Prefecture Government; in 2019 Received a doctorate degree from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and is currently a professor and head of the Mural Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is mainly engaged in the creation and research of paintings and public art, and is one of the earliest creators of contemporary cartoon art in China. Many works are installed in important public spaces and collected by art galleries and art institutions at home and abroad.

1968 出生于中国武汉， 1991 毕业于中国北京中央美术学院壁画系 ，同年留校任教，1997年入选日本国际交流基金会与茨城县政府组织的国际青年艺术家访问居留计划；2019年获中央美术学院博士学位，现任中央美术学院壁画系教授、系主任。主要从事绘画和公共艺术创作和研究，为国内最早的当代卡通艺术创作者之一。诸多作品装置于重要的公共空间及被国内外美术馆和艺术机构收藏。
