On August 22nd, 2026, Jin Yangping’s solo exhibition “Inner Landscapes” opened in THE FIELD Gallery Beijing. In his recent series of works the 1970s-born painter focuses on the human body as a metaphor to our current times and momentum for our society.
Artists have always been known for opening up new perspectives for us through the contemplation of their works, thereby inspiring reflection. Jin Yangping does this in a most striking way in his current series ‘Inner Landscapes’, by reflecting on recent events and the manifested attitudes of people in public life. Through a painterly introspection focused on the body, Jin has been researching on how today’s current situation which is constantly being mirrored in our habits and structures of life.
By presenting sequences of images on the wall and objects installed throughout the space, the artist guides the viewer via various stages towards a holistic whole. The walkthrough Jin Yangping’s solo exhibition is the condition to receiving the insight into the artist’s conclusion.
2026年8月22日，金阳平个展《丘壑》于 THE FIELD 旷野空间开幕。这位生于1970年代的艺术家，在其最新系列作品中将人体作为隐喻，映照我们所处时代的状态，以及社会运行中的内在张力。
艺术家向来通过作品中的思考，为人们打开新的观看视角，并由此激发进一步的反思。金阳平在本次《丘壑》系列中，以极具力量的方式，对当下事件以及人们在公共生活中显现出的态度展开观察。他从身体这一立足点展开绘画性的内省，持续探究现实如何不断投射在我们的生活习惯与结构之中。
在《丘壑》中，金阳平将成组的绘画作品铺展于墙面，并结合分布于空间中的装置，引导人们经历层层递进的观看过程，逐渐形成一种整体性的感知。也正是在这样的行走与观看之中，艺术家的思考慢慢显现出来。
